Yipee! Scottish Passport has invited me back and I'm just as excited to be involved in this series as I was in the first.  This year I have been fortunate to take on the unofficial role of SP's Scottish Correspondent as not long after filming started,  I discovered I was pregnant!  So I was wisely instructed by my very strict producer that until further notice the exotic and the extreme, as well as any wine tasting trips were out of the question.

However I have had another fantastic year travelling and filming around Europe and Scotland.  I never cease to be amazed at the beauty of what's right on our doorstep.  Over the past seven months I've visited Malta, Gozo, Halki and Lindos in Greece, as well as Callander, Oban, Skye, Ullapool, Aviemore, Arbroath and the Borders.

I know every self-respecting Travel Presenter should have a few horror stories up their sleeves - but so far, touch wood, nothing has gone horrendously wrong on any of my trips. I'm lucky to have met many fascinating and friendly people and consider myself very privileged to be able to travel the world and still be able to call it work!

My favourite destination this series was Malta and Gozo - superb climate with year-round sunshine, and a wealth of history and culture. Oh yeah!  It's also a great place to spot film stars as the islands become increasingly popular among Hollywood producers to shoot their latest blockbusters. Unfortunately Brad and I couldn't quite co-ordinate our filming schedules!

Another highlight for me this year was being sent on a villa holiday to Fuerteventura with my "TV husband" Bryan Burnett. Quite an eye-opener let me tell you.   At one point I had to save BB from a baby spider!!!  My professionalism stops me from saying any more - but Bryan - I'll  expect the cheque in the post...
